Model School of SALU Khairpur Mirs Celebrates 78th Independence Day with Patriotic Zeal
The Model School of Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) in Khairpur marked Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day with vibrant celebrations under the theme "MARKA-E-HAQ." The event took place at the Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Chair at SALU in Khairpur.
The event featured a debate competition, tableaus, and patriotic songs, all of which showcased the spirit of freedom and national pride.
During the event, Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk, the vice chancellor of SALU, praised the efforts of the faculty, teachers, and staff who organized the 14-day celebration following the announcement by the Sindh government.
Reflecting on Pakistan’s resilience, Dr. Khushk stated, "We witnessed victory over our enemy. The neighboring country must understand that the dynamics have changed, and that today’s wars are fought with technology."
The vice chancellor honored Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s vision, calling Pakistan a blessing. He recited poetry by Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai advocating unity and progress.
"We owe our freedom to the sacrifices of those in the past, present, and future," he remarked, praising the army and its leaders.
The Vice Chancellor concluded with a resounding message of unity: “We stand together. Pakistan will prosper and shine globally.”
He also praised the students' performance and congratulated the teachers on organizing such a wonderful event.
Professor Dr. Ameer Ali Khuhro of the Shahdadkot Campus highlighted the significance of the MARKA-E-HAQ theme, declaring, "We are a great nation."
Dr. Ali Raza Lashari shared this sentiment, saying, "Freedom is priceless and was earned through immense sacrifices."
Falak Naz, the principal of Model School SALU, thanked the vice chancellor and participants and applauded the students’ performances.
Dilbar Mirani, a teacher at Model School, skillfully conducted the event.
Notable attendees included Professor Dr. Nazar Hussain Phulphoto, Imran Sommro, Waseem Kalhoro, and other dignitaries.
The celebrations reinforced patriotism and paid homage to the country’s heroes, inspiring the youth to contribute to Pakistan’s growth.
