The Shaheed Naseem Kharal Memorial Committee organized the Sixth Story Conference at Sachal Auditorium Khairpur Mir's to commemorate the 47th anniversary of renowned short story writer Shaheed Naseem Kharal.
The event brought together prominent literary figures, scholars, and admirers of Kharal’s work.
Speaking on the occasion as a chief guest, Vice Chancellor Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk praised Kharal’s contributions to Sindhi literature, emphasizing how his stories depicted both rural and urban life.
Dr. Yousuf Khushk commended the memorial committee for organizing the event and stressed the need for endowment funds to preserve Kharal’s legacy. He encouraged younger generations to innovate rather than repeat old narratives.
He noted that social media has become vital for promoting art and literature but cautioned against superficial engagement, stating, “We spend only 30 seconds on a post, sometimes just 7.”
Dr Yousuf Khushk concluded with a call to "change attitudes, focus on new generations, and promote creativity beyond traditional constraints."
Other notable speakers included Ayaz Gul, Adal Soomro, Mukhtiar Malik, Akhtar Dargahi, , Faisal Naseem Kharal (son of the late writer), Dr. Ibrahim Kharal, and Qurban Mangi.
Dr. Ibrahim Kharal, who has done a PhD on Naseem Kharal, highlighted the writer’s enduring influence.
Akhtar Dargahi paid tribute to the organizers and stressed that Kharal’s work remains essential in Sindhi literature, stating, “Without naming him, a story lacks something.”
Mukhtiar Malik, President of the Art Council Khairpur, recalled meeting Kharal in his childhood and praised his socially relevant storytelling, particularly mentioning "Kafir" as a critique of hypocrisy.
Adal Soomro acknowledged the role of Sindhi Adabi Sanghat (SAS) in nurturing Kharal’s career.
Renowned poet Ayaz Gul remarked that Naseem Kharal’s stories echo with emotional depth and social realism, capturing the soul of Sindhi society with striking honesty.
Faisal Naseem Kharal urged new writers to read and critique Kharal’s works while avoiding commercialism in storytelling. He emphasized fighting "financial and moral corruption" through literature.
Mr Roshan shaikh moderated the event, thanking participants for honoring Naseem Kharal’s memory.

شهيد نسيم کرل يادگار ڪميٽي سچل آڊيٽوريم خيرپور ميرس ۾ ڇهين ڪهاڻي ڪانفرنس منعقد ڪئي . مشهور ڪهاڻيڪار شهيد نسيم کرل جي 47 هين سالگرهه ملهائي سگهجي.
هن تقريب ۾ اهم ادبي شخصيتون، عالم ۽ کرل جي ڪم جا مداح گڏ ٿيا.
مهمان خاص جي حيثيت سان ڳالهائيندي وائيس چانسلر ميريٽوريس پروفيسر ڊاڪٽر يوسف خشڪ سنڌي ادب ۾ کرل جي ڪردار جي تعريف ڪئي، ان ڳالهه تي زور ڏنو ته سندس ڪهاڻيون ڳوٺاڻي ۽ شهري زندگي ٻنهي کي ڪيئن پيش ڪن ٿيون.
ڊاڪٽر يوسف خشڪ تقريب منعقد ڪرڻ لاءِ يادگار ڪميٽي جي تعريف ڪئي ۽ کرل جي ورثي کي بچائڻ لاءِ وقف فنڊ جي ضرورت تي زور ڏنو. هن نوجوان نسلن کي پراڻين روايتن کي ورجائڻ بدران جدت آڻڻ جي ترغيب ڏني.
هن نوٽ ڪيو ته سوشل ميڊيا فن ۽ ادب کي فروغ ڏيڻ لاءِ اهم بڻجي چڪو آهي پر سطحي مصروفيت جي خلاف خبردار ڪندي چيو ته، "اسان هڪ پوسٽ تي صرف 30 سيڪنڊ خرچ ڪندا آهيون، ڪڏهن ڪڏهن صرف 7."
ڊاڪٽر يوسف خشڪ "روين کي تبديل ڪرڻ، نئين نسلن تي ڌيان ڏيڻ، ۽ روايتي پابندين کان ٻاهر تخليقيت کي فروغ ڏيڻ" جي سڏ سان ختم ڪيو.
ٻين قابل ذڪر مقررين ۾ نامور اديبن ۾ اياز گل، ادل سومرو، مختيار ملڪ، اختر درگاهي، فيصل نسيم کرل (مرحوم ليکڪ جو پٽ)، ڊاڪٽر ابراهيم کرل، ۽ قربان منگي شامل هئا.

آرٽ ڪائونسل خيرپور جي صدر مختيار ملڪ، کرل سان سندس ننڍپڻ ۾ ملاقات کي ياد ڪيو ۽ سندس سماجي طور تي لاڳاپيل ڪهاڻي ٻڌائڻ جي تعريف ڪئي، خاص طور تي "ڪافر" کي منافقت جي تنقيد طور ذڪر ڪيوسندس رتبي کي ناميارن اديبن جي تحرين منجھسن پڻ واضح ڪيو. ر.

فيصل نسيم کرل نون ليکڪن تي زور ڏنو ته ڪهاڻي ٻڌائڻ ۾ ڪمرشلزم کان پاسو ڪندي کرل جي ڪمن کي پڙهن ۽ تنقيد ڪن. هن ادب ذريعي "مالي ۽ اخلاقي بدعنواني" سان وڙهڻ تي زور ڏنو.
مسٽر روشن شيخ تقريب جي نگراني ڪئي، شرڪت ڪندڙن کي نسيم کرل جي يادگيري کي عزت ڏيڻ لاءِ شڪريو ادا ڪيو.
تقريب ۾ نوجوان اديبن پاران 20 مختصر ڪهاڻيون پيش ڪيون ويون، ان کي سنڌي ادبي حلقن ۾ هڪ اهم سنگ ميل قرار ڏنو ويو. يادگار ڪميٽي کرل جي ورثي کي فروغ ڏيڻ ۽ مستقبل جي ليکڪن کي متاثر ڪرڻ جو عزم ڪيو.
