CM Sindh Directives: SALU Khairpur Chalks Out 14 Day “Marka e Haq” Independence Celebrations Program

In pursuance of the meeting chaired by the Honorable Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, which was attended by the Minsters Sharjeel Memon, Sayed Nasir Shah, Saeed Ghani,Mohammad Bux Mahar, S zulfiqar Shah , Chairman Sindh HEC Dr Tariq Rafi , the Secretary Universities & Boards Mr Abbass Baloch , Secretary Sindh HEC Moeen Siddiqi and all Vice Chancellors of public and private sector universities of Sindh, and in compliance with the directives of the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur will observe 14 days of patriotic celebrations under the theme “Marka e Haq” from 1st to 14th August 2025.


These celebrations aim to promote national unity, resilience, and consciousness, paying tribute to the heroes of Pakistan’s independence and armed forces. A series of activities spread across 14 days will be organized at the Main Campus, Ghotki Campus, Shahdadkot Campus, and affiliated colleges of Khairpur Mirs as per the following schedule:

14 Day Celebration Schedule & Themes

1st August – Walk :
Theme: Unity in Motion: A Tribute to Pakistan’s Independence
• Symbolizing the nation’s collective march towards freedom and progress.

2nd August – Tableaus, Dramas & Debate Competition (Affiliated Colleges, Khairpur Mirs)
Theme: Expressions of Freedom and National Awareness
• Performances and debates reflecting the sacrifices and dreams of our heroes.

4th August – Seminar & Panel Discussion
Theme: National Awareness and the Spirit of Sacrifice
• Highlighting the historical sacrifices for independence and the role of youth in nation building.

5th August – Sports Activities
Theme: Strength, Discipline, and National Spirit
• Sports to reflect physical and mental resilience in serving the nation.

6th August – Debate Competition & Tableaus with Songs (Main Campus)
Theme: Voices of Freedom and Patriotic Expression
• Intellectual and cultural expression fostering pride in national identity.

7th August – Trees Plantation (Green SALU/Green Pakistan)
Theme: Greener Pakistan, Stronger Nation
• Environmental care as a patriotic duty for national sustainability.

8th August – Documentary Screening & Talks
Theme: Echoes of History: Lessons from our National Struggle
• Visual storytelling to invoke national consciousness and responsible citizenship.

9th August : Patriotic Dramas & Songs – Shahdadkot Campus

11th August – Poster & Photography Competition
Theme: Colors of Independence: Capturing the Spirit of Pakistan
• Creative expressions depicting patriotism, resilience, and hope.

12th August – Panel Discussion
Theme: Youth and Nation Building: Our Responsibility
• Dialogue on how today’s youth can transform the founders’ dreams into reality.

13th August – Milli Poetry, Speech Contest, and Tableaus
Theme: Rhythms of Freedom and National Pride
• Poetry and performances to rekindle emotional attachment to the motherland.

14th August – Flag Hoisting, National Anthem, Prizes & Musical Program
Theme: Glorious Pakistan: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future
• Culmination of 14 day celebrations with a renewed pledge to protect and develop the country.

PVCs Professor Dr. Wahid Bux Jatoi and Professor Dr. Ameer Ali Khuhro, along with Deans Professor Dr. Ghulam Mustafa Mashori, Professor Dr. Noor Ahmed Shaikh, Professor Dr. Mushtaque Ali Jakhrani, Professor Dr. Naveed Ahmed Shaikh, and Professor Dr. Minhoon Khan Laghari, Dr Ali Raza Lashari , attended the “Marka e Haq” coordination meeting under the chairmanship of the Vice Chancellor, Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk.

In the meeting, they collectively chalked out the 14 day Independence Celebrations Program, finalizing thematic activities and schedules to ensure meaningful participation of students, faculty, and affiliated institutions.
