The Vice Voce examinations of three MPhil/MS scholars from the Sindhi Department of Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur Mir’s, were successfully conducted today at the university. The scholars presented and defended their research theses before a panel of experts, marking a significant milestone in their academic careers.

The research of Waqar Hussain Rattar focused on "Linguistic Review of Sindhi Kaafi of Sachal Sarmast," analyzing the linguistic features of the renowned Sufi poet’s work. Mehboob Ali Rid explored "Contribution of Nara Taluka to Folk Literature," shedding light on the region’s cultural and literary heritage. Meanwhile, Abida Parveen Solangi conducted a "Critical Study of the Work of Abdul Wahab Sahito on Sayings and Proverbs," evaluating his contributions to Sindhi folklore.

All three scholars completed their research under the supervision of Dr. Mehar Khadim, a prominent academic in the field. Dr. Hakim Ali Buriro, Assistant Professor at Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad, participated as an external examiner, providing valuable insights during the evaluation. The examinations were held in the office of Professor Dr. Ghulam Mustafa Mashori, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Languages.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Hakim Ali Buriro praised SALU's academic contributions, stating, "The successful completion of these research works highlights the university's strong commitment to advancing Sindhi language and literature studies. Through such scholarly initiatives, SALU not only promotes intellectual development but also plays a crucial role in preserving Sindh's valuable cultural and literary heritage."

Professor Dr. Ghulam Mustafa Mashori, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Languages, emphasized the significance of the research works presented. "These studies, ranging from linguistic analysis of classical poetry to documentation of folk traditions, make valuable contributions to Sindhi literature," he said. "The participation of distinguished experts like Dr. Buriro further enhances the academic credibility of these research projects."

Later, Dr. Hakim Ali Buriro met with Vice Chancellor Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk at his office, where they discussed mutual interests in promoting quality education and research culture.

Dr. Khushk reiterated his commitment to academic excellence, saying, "We are taking all efforts to take the university to new heights by promoting quality education and research culture. Additionally, we are working to facilitate students by providing all necessary facilities on campus."
