SALU Observes ‘Youm-e-Tashakur’ to Salute the Bravery of Pakistan Army

Vice Chancellor of Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) Khairpur, Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk, while addressing a large and passionate gathering on the occasion of ‘Youm-e-Tashakur’, said:
“Today is a moment of pride, dignity, and gratitude in our national history. We stand united to commemorate the success of Operation Bunyad-e-Marsous and to pay tribute to the unwavering courage and sacrifices of our armed forces — the true guardians of Pakistan’s sovereignty.”
Organized by the Students Society Center of SALU, the event was a powerful expression of national unity and gratitude toward Pakistan’s military for its valiant defense against recent aggression. The occasion witnessed participation from university and school students, faculty members, heads of departments, journalists, social activists, and distinguished guests.
Dr. Khushk highlighted that this operation was not just a military action, but a moral and national victory — symbolizing unity, resilience, and unwavering resolve. He expressed deep appreciation to the Chief of Army Staff for his bold leadership, the Pakistan Air Force for safeguarding the skies, the Pakistan Navy for securing maritime boundaries, and all brave soldiers, veterans, and martyrs who ensured peace with their blood and courage.
“You — the youth — are the future and strength of this nation. Your thoughts, your pen, and your actions will shape Pakistan’s destiny. Let your commitment to knowledge and integrity be your guiding force,” he told the students.
The Vice Chancellor further appreciated the international community, leaders, and institutions who supported Pakistan diplomatically and called for peaceful resolutions. He thanked the international media and journalists who reported with integrity and conveyed Pakistan’s principled stance to the world.
“Let us never forget the sacrifices of our defenders. Let us make SALU a proud beacon of knowledge, patriotism, and moral leadership,” he concluded.
The event featured a flag-hoisting ceremony, a seminar on Pakistan’s defense and regional stability, and a rally in solidarity with the armed forces.
Dr. Ali Raza Lashari, Incharge of the Students Society Center, conducted the proceedings.

• Dr. Siraj Ahmed Sommro, who explained the historical context of regional tensions and reaffirmed Pakistan’s peaceful intentions and defensive preparedness.
• Dr. Farman Mangi, who praised the strategic brilliance of the armed forces.
• Dr. Syed Sumiya, who emphasized the public’s moral duty to stand with the army.
• Dr. Sahib Oad and Director Sports Muhammad Murad Peerzada, who lauded the commitment of the armed forces. Dr. Oad also remarked, “Even religious minorities stand shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Army in times of crisis.”
