A vibrant delegation of students from Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur, actively participated in the International Students Convention 2026 held in Islamabad, where SALU students and their dynamic student societies became a major center of attention for their enthusiastic participation, leadership spirit, and remarkable community engagement initiatives.
Under the patronage and visionary leadership of Vice Chancellor, Meritorious Prof. Dr. Yousuf Khushk, Shah Abdul Latif University continues to promote an inclusive and progressive academic environment where students are encouraged to actively engage in co-curricular, intellectual, and community-centered activities alongside academic excellence.
The SALU delegation was accompanied by Dr. Ali Raza Lashari, Coordinator, Students Societies Center, who represented the university in various academic, youth engagement, and networking sessions attended by students and representatives from universities across Pakistan.
The convention provided an important national platform for dialogue, collaboration, cultural interaction, and the exchange of ideas among emerging youth leaders from different regions of the country.
During the convention, Dr. Ali Raza Lashari delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting the achievements and impactful role of the Students Societies Center at SALU. He shared that the university has successfully established 42 active student societies that are playing a transformative role in promoting leadership, volunteerism, social responsibility, creativity, and community service among students.
He further highlighted the extraordinary contributions of SALU student volunteers during the devastating Floods 2022, where student societies actively participated in rescue, relief, and rehabilitation activities, extending support to more than 46,000 affected individuals in different areas.
The delegation also shared various student-led initiatives related to education, climate awareness, cultural harmony, entrepreneurship, social welfare, and youth development, which received appreciation from participants and organizers at the convention.
The participation of SALU in the International Students Convention 2026 reflects the university’s growing commitment to nurturing responsible youth leadership, strengthening national academic engagement, and preparing students to contribute positively at both national and international levels
