SALU Officials attend SPPRA Training on New E-Procurement System
Officials from Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur, participated in a training session organized by the Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (SPPRA) on the Federal Government’s newly introduced E-Procurement System. The session was held at the University of Karachi & Aror University Sukkur.
The delegation from SALU included Engr. Ghulam Asghar Shaikh, Project Director (Works), Mr. Muhammad Muneer Shah Rashdi, Network Administrator IT, Engr. Faraz Malik, Assistant Engineer (Civil), Mr. Sajjad Hussain Channa, Auditor, Finance Wing, Mr. Shafqat Hussain Kehar, Superintendent Purchase & Store Section, Mr. Ameen Gilal, Clerk IT Section, Mr. Tanveer Ahmed Kandhro, Draftsman, Engineering Wing.
The training aimed to enhance transparency and efficiency in government procurement processes by familiarizing officials with the digital system. This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to reduce manual intervention, minimize delays, and ensure accountability in public sector procurements.
Under the leadership of SALU Vice Chancellor, Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk, the university’s participation highlights its commitment to adopting modernized systems. SPPRA is conducting similar training sessions across Sindh to ensure seamless implementation of the E-Procurement System.
Participants expressed confidence that the new system would streamline procurement, reduce paperwork, prevent irregularities, and promote fair competition in public tenders. The move is expected to bring greater efficiency and compliance with regulatory standards in government procurement processes.
