SALU Ghotki Campus, Department of Computer Science Organizes Software Expo 2026
The Department of Computer Science successfully organized the Software Expo 2026, showcasing innovative software projects and the technical excellence of its students.
The expo was inaugurated by Dr. Shahid Ali Mahar, In-Charge, Department of Computer Science, in the presence of distinguished faculty members including M. Imran Siddiqui, FYP Coordinator, Dr. Allah Bux Lakhan, Dr. Imran Ahmed Shah, Dr. Fiaz Ahmed Bhutto, Naseeruddin Mahar, Abuzar Bhambhro, Ghulam Abbas, Khuda Dino Gopang, Zohaib Lashari, Syed Mushahid Shah, and other respected guests.
On this occasion, Mr. Imran Siddiqui presented the traditional Sindhi gifts of Ajrak and a bouquet to Dr. Shahid Ali Mahar as a gesture of respect and welcome.
Following the inauguration, Dr. Shahid Ali Mahar, along with the faculty members, visited each software project stall where students of the Computer Science Department presented detailed briefings on their projects. The showcased software solutions were designed to meet contemporary industry requirements and were developed using modern and emerging technologies. Dr. Mahar and the faculty highly appreciated the creativity, technical proficiency, and dedication demonstrated by each group.
On special invitation, the faculty and students from Government Boys Degree College, Ghotki, Government Girls Degree College, Ghotki, and Shaheen Engineering College, also participated in the event. Dr. Mahar briefed them about the campus infrastructure, available resources, and the academic environment, highlighting the opportunities for learning and professional development.
While addressing the students, Dr. Mahar emphasized the importance of developing in-demand and emerging skills to effectively meet the challenges of the upcoming digital era. He also expressed his sincere gratitude to Prof. Dr. Syed Maqsood Zia Shah, the Pro-Vice Chancellor, for his unwavering support and guidance in making the event a success. He also thanked Mr. Imran Siddiqui, the FYP Coordinator, who remained in continuous contact with the students from the very beginning and worked tirelessly to make this event successful, even while managing his other academic responsibilities.
A large number of students and faculty members attended the expo, making it a vibrant and successful academic and technological event.
