Demonstrating a hands-on commitment to academic excellence and student welfare, the Vice Chancellor of Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur, Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk, personally led an extensive inspection visit of various university departments.
The visit was specifically aimed at reviewing and ensuring optimal facilities, arrangements, and a conducive environment for the ongoing 2nd semester examinations.
Accompanied by a high-level delegation of senior academics, Dr. Khushk’s visit underscored the administration’s proactive approach to upholding the highest standards of examination conduct and student support services during this critical academic period.
Interacting with departmental heads, examination staff, and students, Vice Chancellor Dr. Yousuf Khushk issued clear directives. He stressed the paramount importance of providing every possible facility to the examinees, enabling them to concentrate fully on their papers without any undue hardship.
"The examination period is a pivotal time for our students, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure it is conducted with absolute fairness, transparency, and support," stated Dr. Khushk. "Our objective is not only to assess academic performance but to do so within a framework that respects and facilitates the hard work of our student body."
He further instructed the staff to be vigilant, helpful, and to promptly address any issues faced by students during the exams. The deans and accompanying professors provided their insights and assured the implementation of best practices within their respective faculties.
The Vice Chancellor was joined by key faculty leaders, including Professor Dr. Mushtaque Ali Jakhrani, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Professor Dr. Minhoon Khan Laghari, Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences.
The delegation also included esteemed senior faculty members Professor Dr. Akhtiar Ali Ghumro, Professor Dr. Liaquat Ali Chandio, Professor Dr. Samina Rajpar, Professor Dr. Jawad Hassan, Professor Dr. Hidayatullah Shaikh, Professor Dr. Riaz Ahmed Shaikh, Dr Shahida Ameer Chandio, Dr Firdous Bughti , Dr Zahid Hussain Sahito , Dr Mashooque Mahar, Waseem Kalhoro, Aijaz Mahar, and others.
During the detailed walkthrough, Dr. Khushk and his team meticulously assessed multiple aspects of the examination process. Their key focus areas included ensuring examination hall readiness through inspections of seating arrangements, lighting, ventilation, and overall cleanliness to provide a comfortable and distraction-free environment for students. They also reviewed critical administrative logistics, such as the distribution of question papers, the presence of invigilation staff, and adherence to scheduled timelines, to guarantee a smooth and fair examination process. Furthermore, the team evaluated student convenience by checking facilities like drinking water availability and clear signage to help students navigate efficiently to their halls. Finally, they emphasized the importance of maintaining robust security and discipline to prevent any malpractice and to ensure an orderly atmosphere, allowing students to perform to the best of their abilities.
This proactive inspection by the university's top leadership reinforces SALU’s steadfast commitment to academic integrity and student-centric governance.
