Expression of Gratitude by VC SALU on behalf of all participants at the Concluding Session of the Professional Development Program for Vice Chancellors and Future Leaders
Expression of Gratitude by Prof. Dr. Yousuf Khushk, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur, on behalf of all participants at the Concluding Session of the Professional Development Program for Vice Chancellors and Future Leaders
Respected Dr. Tariq Rafi, Chairman, Sindh Higher Education Commission,
Respected Dr. Saif ur Rehman, Director General, NIPA Karachi,
Respected Mr. Moinuddin Siddiqui, Secretary, Sindh Higher Education Commission,
Distinguished resource persons, organizers, esteemed fellow Vice Chancellors, and Future Leaders —
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
At the outset, on behalf of all Vice Chancellors and Future Leaders, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for granting me the opportunity to express our collective reflections.
I must humbly acknowledge that we, as Vice Chancellors, are generally accustomed to providing training —but this time, someone succeeded in persuading us to receive training, and that too, most willingly!
Indeed, it is a remarkable achievement of NIPA and the Sindh Higher Education Commission that they brought us back into the classroom —
a space not of files or notifications, but of thought, dialogue, and learning.
This training program is the first of its kind — not only in Sindh but across Pakistan —
and stands as a milestone in the professional development of Vice Chancellors.
We are especially grateful to the Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, the Government of Sindh, and to the Chairman and Secretary of the Sindh Higher Education Commission, Mr. Moinuddin Siddiqui, for transforming this vision into reality.
During these five days, we engaged with themes that are essential to the contemporary academic landscape —
Strategic Planning, Financial Leadership, Academic Governance, Procurement, Innovation in Human Resources,
Research and Industry Linkages, Digital Transformation, and Quality Assurance — each of which will guide our institutions toward global standards of excellence.
We were reminded that leadership is not merely about authority, but about vision, integrity, and the ability to inspire one’s team.
Good governance, likewise, is not only about making decisions — it is about cultivating trust.
The selection of highly capable resource persons deserves special appreciation.
They ensured that these five days went far beyond a series of lectures —they became a space for intellectual and creative dialogue, enabling us to share experiences, challenges, and solutions.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all resource persons who, through their wisdom and insight, helped us explore new dimensions of leadership. We return today with renewed passion, determination, and vision — committed to transforming our universities into models of effective governance and enlightened leadership.
May Allah Almighty grant us the wisdom, character, and leadership that illuminate the path for our nation.
Finally, on behalf of all Vice Chancellors, I wish to express my deep appreciation to the Government of Sindh, especially to Honourable Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah,
Chairman Dr. Tariq Rafi, and Secretary Moinuddin Siddiqui, for initiating and supporting this visionary program.
I also pay sincere tribute to Dr. Saif ur Rehman, Director General, NIPA Karachi, and his exceptional team, for organizing this program with such professionalism and grace.
By engaging us in a symbolic tree plantation within NIPA, you not only honored our group but made us lifelong members of the NIPA Alumni family — for which we are truly grateful.
The serene and vibrant environment of NIPA —its well-maintained campus, excellent library, peaceful mosque, delicious meals, ever-welcoming coffee house, and a dedicated professional staff under outstanding leadership — will long remain a cherished part of our memories.
This program will endure as a bright chapter in our minds and hearts. We not only recognize the excellence of its organization but also value the precious moments that have rekindled in us a new spirit of purpose and resolve.
