Shah Latif University Reopening Preparations Underway After Summer Vacations, VC Dr. Khushk Reviews Student Hostels' Readiness.

Demonstrating Shah Abdul Latif University’s unwavering commitment to students welfare and a healthy learning environment, the Vice Chancellor, Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk, conducted a comprehensive inspection of all university hostels in preparation for the reopening of the University after the summer vacations.
The Vice Chancellor personally visited the Bhitai Hostel, 200 Hostel, Sachal Hostel, Benazir Girls Hostel, Noori Girls Hostel, Bibi Fatima-tu-Zehra Research Girls Hostel, and the Professor Dr. Rashida Female Teachers Hostel to assess the readiness of residential facilities.
During the inspection, Dr. Khushk thoroughly reviewed the condition of hostel rooms, cleanliness, sanitation, drinking water supply, electricity, washrooms, furniture, waste disposal arrangements, and the overall residential environment. He emphasized that students deserve a safe, clean, and dignified place to live, as a peaceful residential atmosphere is essential for academic excellence and personal well-being.
The Vice Chancellor directed the concerned officers to ensure that all repair, maintenance, and cleanliness work is completed before the University reopens after the summer vacations. He stressed that there would be no compromise on cleanliness, safety, or the provision of essential facilities, instructing the administration to address every identified issue on priority so that students return to well-maintained, hygienic, and welcoming hostels.
To ensure that all instructions are implemented in letter and spirit, Dr. Khushk announced that he will conduct a second comprehensive inspection of all academic blocks and hostels again on Wednesday before the reopening of the University. He directed all concerned officers to remain present during the visit and warned that no negligence or lack of preparedness would be tolerated. At the same time, he assured that officers and staff demonstrating outstanding performance and dedication would be duly appreciated.
Accompanying the Vice Chancellor were Professor Dr. Khalida Mahar, Dr. Ali Raza Lashari, Dr. Sahib Oad, Rashid Amur, Rasool Bux Korai, Aijaz Mahar, Aijaz Maitalo, Suleman Shar, Aijaz Siyal , Rabail Pathan (SDPO), Gulzar Solangi, Muhram Ali Peerzado and Waseem Kalhoro, who jointly reviewed the arrangements and discussed measures for further improving hostel facilities.
The accompanying officers appreciated the Vice Chancellor’s personal involvement and assured him that all shortcomings identified during the inspection would be addressed well before the University reopens after the summer vacations.
The inspection reflects the University’s commitment to providing a safe, clean, secure, and student-friendly residential environment, ensuring that students return to a campus where they can live, learn, and excel with comfort and confidence.
