Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur, has announced its prestigious Best Teacher and Best Researcher Awards for the year, recognizing exceptional contributions of faculty members across various disciplines. The decisions were finalized in a high-level committee meeting chaired by Vice Chancellor Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk at the university campus.

Dr. Javed Ahmed Ujjan has been recommended for the university-level Best Teacher and Best Researcher Award, which carries a cash prize of Rs. 100,000. In the faculty-level categories, Professor Dr. Samina Rajpar from the Faculty of Physical Sciences and Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Khokhar from the Faculty of Arts and Language have been selected for the Best Teacher Award, each receiving Rs. 50,000. Meanwhile, Dr. Jamshed Ali has been named Best Researcher for the Faculty of Natural Sciences.

Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk approved the recommendations and emphasized the significance of such recognition programs. "These initiatives will encourage faculty members to adopt best practices in teaching and research while pursuing greater funding opportunities," he stated.

The meeting was led by Convener Professor Dr. Wahid Bux Jatoi and witnessed a high turnout of academic leadership. Attendees included Deans from various faculties: Professor Dr. Ghulam Mustafa Mashori (Faculty of Arts & Languages), Professor Dr. Noor Ahmed Shaikh (Faculty of Physical Sciences), Professor Dr. Mushtaque Ali Jakhrani (Faculty of Natural Sciences), Professor Dr. Minhoon Khan Laghari (Faculty of Management Sciences), Mr. Abdul Rahman Bhatti (Faculty of Law), and Professor Dr. Liaquat Ali Chandio (Faculty of Social Sciences).

The representatives from the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), the Directorate of Postgraduate Studies (PGS), and the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) participated. The Deputy Registrar (Teaching) facilitated the proceedings.
