Shah Abdul Latif University's (SALU) Character Building Society, in partnership with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Sukkur, hosted a seminar and competitions under the theme "Self-Accountability is the Best Accountability" at the Students Societies Center.
Vice Chancellor, Meritorious Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yousuf Khushk, and Director General, NAB Sukkur, Mr. Fayaz Ahmed Qureshi, jointly inaugurated the event, emphasizing the importance of self-accountability .
The Character Building Society of Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, in partnership with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Sukkur, successfully organized a one-day seminar alongside Declamation, Essay Writing, and Painting Competitions under the theme *“Self-Accountability is the Best Accountability”* at the Students Societies Center. This event engaged students in meaningful discussions on integrity and accountability, encouraging creative expression and character building.
The event was graced by the presence of Vice Chancellor, Meritorious Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yousuf Khushk, who praised the participants and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to nurturing ethical values. Dr. Khushk shared insightful perspectives on the importance of self-accountability for personal and professional growth, commending the Students Societies Center for hosting events that inspire youth to strive for excellence.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Fayaz Ahmed Qureshi, Director General of NAB Sukkur, delivered an inspiring keynote address, encouraging students to embrace honesty and accountability as essential virtues. He drew an analogy to Moen-Jo-Daro, emphasizing the historical lessons of self-accountability that remain relevant for building a harmonious society. His speech deeply resonated with attendees, motivating them to incorporate these values into their daily lives.
The Guest of Honor, Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, engaged the audience with a motivational address on the significance of integrity in creating a just society. He lauded the efforts of the Character Building Society, emphasizing that individual character has a profound impact on the collective good.
Dr. Inayat Bhatti warmly welcomed the esteemed guests and participants. The event’s highlights included the Declamation, Painting, and Essay Writing Competitions, where students showcased their exceptional talents. The top three participants in each category were awarded for their impressive oratory, artistic, and writing skills.
Dr. Ali Raza Lashari, Focal Person of the Character Building Society, skillfully conducted the proceedings, ensuring an engaging experience for all present. An interactive Q&A session followed, allowing participants to engage directly with the speakers, fostering open dialogue and community spirit.
The event concluded with the announcement of competition results. The Vice Chancellor, along with Chief Guest, distributed certificates to the winners, celebrating their dedication to the theme of self-accountability.
