In a high-level meeting chaired by the Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) has finalized a comprehensive plan to ensure the seamless execution of the upcoming Pre-Admission Test for BS Part I and III, scheduled for Tuesday, 14th October 2025.
The meeting, held at the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat, brought together all Deans, Heads of Departments, Sectional Heads, and Administrative Officers to review and confirm all arrangements.
Vice Chancellor Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk presided over the session. He highlighted a significant increase in the number of registered candidates compared to the previous year, attributing this growing interest to the university's rising stature as "the largest 3rd great university in the province."
"We have to maximize our efforts to provide education by utilizing all available facilities," stated VC Dr. Khushk. "Whoever students coming here, we should provide a quality education."
Emphasizing the need for a modernized system, the Vice Chancellor called for the development of mechanisms to ensure maximum enrollment, including the adoption of e-testing and e-evaluation. He confirmed that the test would be conducted in blocks assigned to different departments.
In order to ensure a well-organized and efficient testing environment for all participants, the Vice Chancellor has issued a series of clear directives. A primary focus will be placed on providing better and adequate seating arrangements. This initiative aims to guarantee that all candidates are accommodated in comfortable, properly spaced settings that are conducive to concentration and academic performance, thereby upholding the integrity and smooth operation of the examination process.
Furthermore, significant emphasis has been placed on ensuring smooth transport and security arrangements. The directive mandates coordinated efforts to manage traffic flow and provide safe, reliable access to the testing venues. Enhanced security protocols will be implemented across the campus to safeguard all individuals and property, ensuring a secure and orderly atmosphere throughout the testing period.
Complementing these efforts, a directive has been given to uphold the highest standards of campus cleanliness. A comprehensive cleaning schedule will be enforced to ensure that all facilities, including halls, restrooms, and common areas, are maintained in a spotless and hygienic condition. This commitment to a clean environment is essential for projecting a professional image and promoting the health and well-being of everyone on campus.
Finally, recognizing the importance of family support, the Vice Chancellor has instructed that special facilities be arranged for accompanying parents. Dedicated waiting areas with basic amenities will be established to provide a comfortable and respectful space for parents and guardians, ensuring they can support their candidates in a hospitable environment. This holistic approach underscores the institution's commitment to a supportive and well-managed testing experience for all.
Looking beyond the immediate test, Dr. Khushk urged the administration to work on key performance indicators, including Human Resources, Research Excellence, Innovation and Commercialization, and Sustainability.
To facilitate all candidates, the roll number slips will be available for download starting tomorrow via the university's online portal. For any individuals who encounter technical issues during this process, support will be provided by contacting the Director of Admissions directly. Furthermore, to ensure no candidate is disadvantaged, a special assistance counter will be established at the university's main gate on the day of the test, where roll number slips can be obtained in person.
In line with this vision, a committee comprising the university's Deans was formed to develop a better mechanism for the entire admission process.
The participants unanimously appreciated the vision of Vice Chancellor Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk for his dedicated efforts in elevating the university to new heights by promoting a culture of quality education and research.
