The Institute of Computer Science at Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur Mirs, in collaboration with Friends of Figma Sukkur, successfully hosted "Figma Make-a-Thon 2.0" at the Student Society Center, SALU Khairpur. The creative marathon brought together designers, developers, and dreamers to collaborate, ideate, and build innovative solutions for real-world challenges.
The event was graced by Meritorious Prof. Dr. Yousuf Khushk, Vice Chancellor of Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur, as the Chief Guest.
The keynote address was delivered by Guest Speaker Dr. Faheem Akhtar Rajput, Associate Professor of Computer Science at Sukkur IBA University, who shared valuable insights on the evolving role of design and technology in the modern world. He stressed the importance of continuous learning and adapting to new tools available globally.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Khushk emphasized the importance of integrating technology into education and highlighted the Sindh government's initiative to provide unlimited tools and access through Google for the province's educational institutions.
He encouraged participants to leverage these resources and explore how artificial intelligence can connect various technologies to solve problems effectively.
Prof. Dr. Noor Ahmed Shaikh, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Science, attended as the Guest of Honor. He reaffirmed the institute's commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration among students and professionals.
Dr. Mashooque Ali Mahar served as the focal person for the program, ensuring the smooth execution of the event. The proceedings were skillfully conducted by Dr. Ali Raza Lashari, who ensured the event ran seamlessly from start to finish.
The Figma Make-a-Thon 2.0 featured creative challenges, team collaboration, Figma workshops, and exciting prizes for participants. Attendees were encouraged to register online via the provided link or by scanning the QR code.
While delivering the vote of thanks, Prof. Dr. Samina Rajpar, Director of the Institute of Computer Science SALU, expressed gratitude to all participants, organizers, and distinguished guests for making the event a resounding success.
