SALU Ends Physical Challans, Launches 100% Online Certificate System from July 1
Press Release
Dated 23-6-2025
Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) has officially shifted to a fully online certificate issuance system, ending the practice of physical challans from July 1, 2025. Vice Chancellor Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk announced that after a successful trial period of running both manual and online systems, the university will now operate 100% digitally for the annual side, covering graduates from 2012 to date.
All examination data since 2012 is digitized, enabling the university to issue and dispatch certificates, including degrees, directly to students’ doorsteps via courier,” stated Dr. Khushk during his visit to the newly established TCS collection point on campus. A dedicated dispatch mechanism has been put in place to ensure swift and reliable delivery.
Dr. Khushk appreciated the role of Professor Dr. Noor Ahmed Shaikh, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Sciences and convenor of the online certificate committee, for his pivotal contribution in designing and implementing the digital framework. He noted that Dr. Shaikh’s leadership has made the transition smooth and efficient.
Following the visit, the VC chaired a meeting with Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Wahid Bux Jatoi, Inspector of Colleges Nazir Magnejo, Controller of Examinations Aamir Khan Pathan, and others. He directed all departments to immediately resolve any pending certificate cases.
Pro-VC Dr. Wahid Bux Jatoi praised the initiative as a major administrative reform, significantly improving operational efficiency and student services.
Also present during the visit were officials Ali Ahmed Kandhar, Imran Sommro, and Waseem Kalhoro.
