Shah Abdul Latif University achieves Global Recognition in THE Impact Rankings 2025
Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) has achieved a remarkable milestone by securing a place in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025, a global assessment that evaluates universities based on their contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Among 2,526 universities from 120 countries, SALU has been ranked 63rd in Pakistan and placed among the top 1,501+ institutions worldwide. This recognition highlights the university's dedication to addressing global challenges through education, research, and sustainable practices.
SALU demonstrated significant progress in 10 key SDGs, including No Poverty, Quality Education, Good Health & Well-being, Clean Water & Sanitation, Gender Equality, Reduced Inequalities, Peace & Justice, Decent Work & Economic Growth, Industry & Innovation, and Partnerships for the Goals.
This achievement underscores SALU’s commitment to inclusive education, sustainable development, and global academic excellence. The success is attributed to the collective efforts of the administration, faculty, students, and the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC).
Dr. Irum Rani, Focal Person of QEC, credited Vice Chancellor Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk for his unwavering support in enhancing the university’s national and international rankings. “Under the visionary leadership of the Vice Chancellor, SALU is poised to further elevate its standards in quality education and research,” she stated.
The university remains dedicated to fostering innovation, equity, and global academic leadership in the years to come, she added.
