MNA Dr. Mahreen Razzaq Bhutto Visits SALU, Pledges Full Support to Resolve University Issues
A meeting was held at Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) between Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Dr. Mahreen Razzaq Bhutto and the Vice-Chancellor, Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk today.
The purpose of the visit was for Dr. Bhutto to gain firsthand insight into the university's operations and challenges.
During the meeting, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Yousuf Khushk provided a comprehensive briefing on the various academic and research programmes offered by the university.
A significant portion of the discussion focused on the university's pressing financial constraints. Dr. Khushk highlighted SALU's struggle for sustainable funding and formally asked for the MNA's support in securing projects and financial assistance for the institution.
MNA Dr. Mahreen Bhutto acknowledged the critical nature of the situation and gave a firm assurance that she would advocate for the university at higher governmental forums. She emphasized her commitment to creating greater opportunities for the students of SALU.
To ensure concrete action, Dr. Bhutto asked for a detailed report from the university administration, stating, "Tell me how to support you and make a report so I can approach relevant authorities to extend help to SALU Khairpur."
Dr. Bhutto expressed deep appreciation for the efforts of Dr. Khushk and his team, praising their unwavering commitment to the university's progress. She concluded the meeting with a strong vote of confidence, stating, “Meeting the vice-chancellor gave me the confidence and trust to state that the university is in the right hands.” She promised all possible assistance to the university whenever and wherever needed.
The meeting was also attended by Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, Professor Dr. Minhoon Khan Laghari, Professor Dr. Agha Nadia, Professor Dr. Irum Rani and Dr Sahib Oad.
